Sykes Hot Springs

We had a hiking trip on Thanks giving holidays (Nov 25th-27th). Although some of Americans go back to their hometown on the Thanksgiving holidays, the holidays are not long enough for people from other countries like me to do so. One German guy planned this camping trip. Sykes Hot Springs are located deep in the forest, about 8 km distant from the entrance of the trail. There is a campsite near the hot springs. We had a two day round trip staying at the campsite one night after camping at Pfeiffer Big Sur State Park near the starting point of the trail.

Let's go, 9 people and one dog!

At first, we could enjoy the good outlook from the mountainside.
And then, the trail goes into the forests.

go along the trail It is a good work. How long did we walk? How long do we walk further to get to the Sykes?
Just keep walking until we get to the hot springs!
The 8km trail is a little bit long for everyone. We had lunch and had breaks several times on the way.
Sometimes the trail goes across a small creek.

Finally we arrived at the campsite at around 3pm. But the Sykes hot springs are distant from the campsite besides the main trail.

'Did you already set up your tent? O.K. Let's go to the destination!'
set up tents.
